During his more than 20 year career as a Cameraman and Director of Photography, Tom Piozet has worked in virtually every genre of Television and Motion Picture Production including documentaries, feature films, news magazine shows, behind the scenes EPK’s, corporate work and commercials. An early adopter of the Sony HDCAM format Tom purchased his first CineAlta cameras in 2000 and has been working with top-of-the-line High Definition digital formats for over a decade.
Tom’s Home Planet companies service a wide array of clients from NBC, ABC, CBS, Discovery Networks and National Geographic to such major Hollywood Studios as Disney, Sony, and Paramount Pictures. Home Planet provides Underwater F900 HDCAMs and HD workflow expertise to Jean-Michel Cousteau’s ongoing series of PBS shows, as well as, the acclaimed BBC series Planet Earth and PBS Nature. Home Planet Post finished and color-graded a 175 foot 180 degree HD theater presentation for Toyota, performed all the post for Kaleidoscope on Toyota's new Prius film and its 2010 lineup as well as a number high-end projects finishing their deliverables in HD such as PCV's Nat Geo and History Channel films.
Tom also works as a Director/Cinematographer and co-producer of non-ficitons shows around the world. His 2004 35mm release Tibet: Cry of the Snow Lion received wide critical acclaim playing in theaters around the globe and has won awards on six continents. Home Planet is actively engaged in film production in Asia and Tom continues to gather images for Home Planet’s large HD stock footage Library. Tom is currently in production on a number of international feature documentaries including one on the long term impacts of climate change and another on extreme religious practices wildly popular in Southern Thailand.
